The Wine Atlas (“we”, “us”) provides a wine cellar, tasting, and events platform. If you have questions, email support@thewineatlas.com.
What we collect
- Account & profile details you provide.
- Cellar entries, tasting notes, and event participation data.
- Label images and recognition results you choose to upload.
- Contact form messages.
- Technical data (IP address, device/browser info, diagnostic logs).
How we use your data
- Provide and operate the Wine Atlas app.
- Save and organise your cellar and tasting history.
- Run label recognition and tasting summaries.
- Respond to support requests.
- Maintain security and prevent abuse.
Financial information
Payments and subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We do not store payment card details. The only monetary data we store is the wine purchase price you choose to enter for your own records. This is optional and used solely for your cellar tracking.
Data deletion
You can delete records inside the app at any time. You can also request full account deletion by emailing support@thewineatlas.com. When you delete data, we do not retain it beyond what is required for short-term operational integrity and legal obligations (if any).
Access controls (RLS)
We use row-level security (RLS) in our database to ensure users can only access their own data (and any explicitly shared cellars or events). Administrative access is limited and audited.
Sharing your data
We do not sell personal data. We only share data with service providers required to run the platform, legal authorities if required by law, and event participants when you explicitly take part in shared tastings or cellars.
Retention
We keep your data only as long as your account remains active or until you delete it. If you request deletion, we remove your data.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time. Email support@thewineatlas.com to exercise these rights.
